Terms of use for the esigner apps
Last updated:
The esigner app and the esigner connector for AI assistants are published by Siglar Development AS (organisation number 912 000 621, Krabberødveien 47, 3960 Stathelle, Norway). The app is free to download, and connecting an assistant costs nothing in itself.
The country website's terms apply
The app is a way to use the esigner website of the country you choose when you open it. Your agreement for the service — signing, prices, subscriptions, payment, the right of withdrawal and liability — is that website's terms of use, and they apply in full when you use the service through the app.
Your account belongs to one country's website. If you change country in the app, the terms of the new country's website apply to what you do there.
Licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to install and use the app on devices you own or control, in order to use esigner. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
App Store and Google Play
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. A purchase made through either store follows that store's rules for payment and refunds.
Availability
We update the app regularly and may change or withdraw features. It needs an internet connection and a supported version of iOS or Android. The signature itself is always made with each signer's own national eID.
AI assistants
You can use esigner through AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude, connected to your account on your country's website. The connection is a way to use that website, and its terms of use apply in full. Nothing is bought in the chat: a signing is paid for by what is already set up on your account, such as your plan, a prepaid balance or a saved card, just as on the website.
The assistant acts on what you ask it to do. You are responsible for what you ask it to send, and to whom. Check the document and the signers before it goes out: an assistant can misunderstand, and once an invitation is sent it reaches the signer. No assistant can sign for anyone; every signer signs with their own national eID.
The assistant is provided by another company, such as OpenAI or Anthropic, under its own terms. We are responsible for the esigner service, not for the assistant itself, its availability or what it writes.
Liability
The app is part of the service, and our liability is as set out in the country website's terms of use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
Privacy
How the app handles personal data is described in our Privacy policy.
Contact and governing law
Questions go to the support address of your country's website, or to hei@esigner.no. These app terms are governed by Norwegian law, without affecting the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live.
Each country's website
Your account belongs to the website of the country you chose in the app or when you connected an assistant. Its own privacy policy and terms apply to everything you do there.
